Team Limb-It-Less is now accepting only qualified (registered) runners to our 2020 Boston Marathon Team. If you have a Boston Marathon bib and would like to raise a minimum of $2,500, please join our team here.
2020 marks the 6th year that Team Limb-it-less will cross the finish line on Boylston Street, having raised funds to help amputees obtain prosthetic devices. Being a member of Boston’s Team Limb-it-less is an incredible honor. If accepted to the team, not only will you have the opportunity to cross the finish line of the world’s oldest and most prestigious marathon in its 124th year, you’ll also be making a big impact in the lives of amputees. The funds that you raise will allow us to provide grants for prosthetic devices that victims of traumatic circumstances would otherwise not be able to afford. In addition to helping many others, 2019’s team assisted in donations of an above the knee prothesis including a microprocessor knee to 33 year old Leslie, of Edgefield, SC, an arm prosthesis to 6 year old Thompson of Mobile, AL and a water proof prosthesis to 53 year old James of Hampton, NH. Funds raised also contributed to scholarships to Camp No Limits through HAF’s Krystle Kid’s Fund, including 8 year old Jordan.
Requirements
A spot on our team is not to be taken lightly – there are requirements to which you’ll have to commit including responsibility for entrance fees, meeting a $8,500 fundraising minimum, rigorous training, among others. You’ll become an ambassador for HAF and be charged with educating others on our mission and soliciting their support.
In exchange, aside from your Boston Marathon experience, you’ll be a part of a great team, managed by our partner, Susan Hurley of Charity Teams, where you’ll receive training tips, travel assistance, organized training runs (in the Boston area) and much more. You will also be invited to a team dinner at the beginning of the training season as well as to our marathon weekend fundraiser and send off party.

You will:
– Raise a minimum of $8,500 to support amputees in need of prostheses

-Receive assistance with travel/hotel/marathon day logistics
-Get help for creative fundraising ideas
