At 17 years old, Brenden was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, which they initially misdiagnosed as a cyst. After going through 12 weeks of chemo and multiple doctor recommendations, Brenden decided to amputate his leg below the knee so that the cancer wouldn’t come back.

Brenden enjoys running and trains 5 days a week at the Adaptive Training Foundation in Dallas with hopes of becoming a member of the US para track and field team.
