Emily lost her left leg, above the knee, at 25 because of injuries sustained in a car crash. Early on she was fortunate to receive the donation of a water prosthesis, however when the socket needed to be replaced her health insurance plan would not cover the cost. The ability to be in the water gives Emily peace and quality of life that she did not want to lose. We are overjoyed to help allow Emily that happiness again with a new socket for her water prosthesis. Additionally, HAF assisted Emily with a new foot for her walking prosthesis that allows for a smooth rollover and plenty of activity.
