Team Limb-It-Less is now accepting runners to our 2025 Boston Marathon Team!
2025 marks the 11th year that Team Limb-it-less will cross the finish line on Boylston Street, having raised funds to help amputees obtain prosthetic devices. Being a member of Bostonâs Team Limb-it-less is an incredible honor. If accepted to the team, not only will you have the opportunity to cross the finish line of the worldâs oldest and most prestigious marathon in its 129th year, youâll also be making a big impact in the lives of amputees. The funds that you raise will allow us to provide grants for prosthetic devices that victims of traumatic circumstances would otherwise not be able to afford.
Requirements
A spot on our team is not to be taken lightly â there are requirements to which youâll have to commit including responsibility for entrance fees, meeting a fundraising minimum, rigorous training, among others. Youâll become an ambassador for HAF and be charged with educating others on our mission and soliciting their support.
Whether you’re in need of a HAF charity bib or youâre a qualified runner and want to be part of a fun team and raise money for a great cause, please consider joining Team Limb-it-less!
You will:
- *Raise a minimum of $2,500 (Qualified Runner), $10,000 (Charity Runner), or $12,000 (Repeat Charity Runner) to support amputees in need of prostheses
- Be an ambassador for HAF and our mission
- Be included in Team Limb-it-less celebrations
- Receive assistance with travel/hotel/marathon day logistics
- And feel great about helping your community!
We are so thrilled in your interest to run for HAF! We look forward to reviewing your application!
*Qualified runners are those who are considered to have met the qualification standards for the 2025 Boston Marathon and are granted entry by the Boston Athletic Association (BAA). Charity runners are not race qualifiers and will receive entry to the 2025 Boston Marathon via the Heather Abbott Foundation’s invitational entries provided by the BAA. Repeat Charity runners are those Charity runners who represented HAF in the 2024 Boston Marathon seeking entry for 2 years in a row.
