In 2018 HAF established the HAF Kids’ Camp Scholarship Fund, dedicated to providing scholarships to amputee children from across the US to attend Camp No Limits (CNL) established by the No Limits Foundation. CNL puts on a variety of long weekends at campgrounds across the country for children who live with limb loss and offers therapeutic programs with specialized professionals, including physical & occupational therapists, prosthetists & adult amputee role models.
Along with close friends of hers, HAF added the Krystle’s Kids’ Fund in memory of Krystle Campbell. The Fund is designed especially to provide scholarships to camp for amputee children who reside in the Boston/New England area.
At this time we are in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, making plans for 2021 summer camps uncertain. We encourage those interested in attending the next scheduled summer camps, whether they take place in 2021 or 2022, to complete an application. We will keep them on file and notify applicants of our plans and the status of their application when it’s safe to resume such gatherings. We hope to continue our program soon and look forward to providing the opportunity for many more children to experience Camp No Limits!
