Lydia wasĀ  born with a rare congenital vascular disorder.Ā  At age 11, because of the pain in her leg, she made the difficult decision to amputate it. Now a sophomore in high school, Lydia has continued to pursue the sport of gymnastics and plays volleyball, refusing to let limb loss limit her activity.Ā  Lydia’s mom enjoys running, which is something Lydia has always wanted to try.Ā  By providing her a prothesis specially designed for running, HAF is helping Lydia reach her goal to run alongside her mom and enjoy a new activity that so many love.Ā  We’re so happy to work with South County Limb to give Lydia this opportunity!
